Katrina at work on a new pastel painting

Katrina has put down the first stage of her latest pastel painting. 

She has also being working on a number of woven works that she wants to compose into one large piece.

AsWeAre exhibition

Katrina's work 'Water Garden' sold at opening night of the AsWeAre Exhibition at the Perth Town Hall on Friday!  It was a great night.  Katrina enjoyed showing people her book of art work and the organisers asked if we could leave it on the sales desk for everyone to look at.  The officiating artist/keynote speaker, Angela Rossen sought out Katrina for a chat.  She was impressed with the quality and vibrancy of Katrina's work and said that she should definately have an exhibition of her own and to please invite her when that happened.  She also suggested that some of Katrina's works would be great to be sold as prints at Kings Park.  This is something to follow up on.

Katrina spent the exhibition opening smiling and enjoyed her conversations with people who came to tell her how much they loved her work.

Art book

Katrina's art book arrived and it looks amazing.  She was able to take it with her to show her work and already has requests to buy some of her pieces!

Katrina's work is currently at the framers.  It will be great to see it framed!  This was one of the works that came about after a visit to Kings Park in Perth. 

Pastel painting and progress on a woven piece

This week Katrina has been working on a woven piece that follows her Pastel painting's theme.  She is just begining to add circular and linear detail on top of her circular base.  One of her Pastel paintings has gone to the framer.  This piece will be entered in this year's 'asweare' exhibition to be held at the Perth Town Hall from 3rd to 10th September.
